As anyone knows who follows this website, I am all about gut health. I do believe that fermented foods and drinks are some of the best ways to get probiotics in your life. But I also recognize that not everyone will be able or willing to do that. That is why bought probiotics exist. Not all those bought probiotics are equal.
Intelligent Labs makes a probiotic which I was able to try. Each capsule contains a guaranteed minimum of 50 CFU live culture probiotics. They are able to guarantee this for 2 years, because they make their probiotics much stronger than 50 billion when they start.
One thing that is important to me is how many different strains of bacteria are in the probiotics I use. This one has 10 different strains, including L. acidophilus, L. casei, L. paracasei, L. plantarum, L. rhamnosis, L. lactis, B. bifidum, B. breve, B. lactis, and B. longum. Several of these bacteria are strains I am familiar with and know to be of great value in the body.
Intelligent Labs uses Activ-PolymerTM bottles and Oxyfree® desiccant to remove moisture and oxygen from the bottle. It’s moisture and oxygen that can destroy the probiotics, and this will help to prevent that loss.
These probiotics also come with prebiotics. This is something which caught my eye because the effectiveness of probiotics is hugely increased with prebiotics. Prebiotics are basically food for probiotics, so they are vital for the probiotics to grow and form colonies, (which means they reproduce even more good bacteria in your gut!).
They also offer a ‘Love It Or Your Money Back Guarantee!’ When you order any Intelligent Labs product, if for any reason you are not 100% satisfied, whether you’ve tried 1 serving or the whole bottle, just return it for a full refund. So they are a very low risk company to try out.
Intelligent Labs Omega 3 has 1224mg of EPA and 816mg of DHA. This EPA:DHA ratio of 3:2 is the exact ratio that is recommended by scientists after extensive experiments, other brands use a higher EPA:DHA ratio of 4:2 or sometimes even 5:2 because it is cheaper to produce.
Also all of the Omega 3 is in natural Triglyceride form. This form is also specifically scientifically recommended. Most other companies use a chemically altered lower quality Estyl Ester form, which is less well absorbed and less effective in the body.
You will not find this strength of Omega 3, with this high a DHA content that is made from Triglycerides anywhere else.
This fish oil comes from an IFFO and GOED registered facility, and is
molecularly distilled to remove any contaminants including heavy metals, Dioxins and PCB’s for complete purity. Each batch is then 3rd party tested for your complete peace of mind.
And this Omega 3 is sustainably sourced from a “Friends of the Sea” certified supplier. We use wild caught Mackerel, Anchovy and Sardine from the pristine waters of the Antarctic and there are absolutely no artificial additives.
I found both products to be easy on our systems. Both of them are gluten free, and dary free, which is important to my family members. It causes no irritation on any of our bodies.
Both these products can have a smell or after taste, but that was not true with those from Intelligent Labs. I do not like burping up fish oil and that never happened once with these omega 3 capsules.
Both were in capsule form and easy to swallow.
I can recommend these products. I also found them to be affordable and reasonable pricing compared to similar products. I would use them again and will order for my family when we need these in the future.
