Low Carb Sweeteners

Wholesome Yum - Clean Keto Foods

Have you tried low carb sweeteners?  There are two categories of these low carb sweeteners- artificial and plant based.  I don’t like the artificial sweeteners like sucralose and aspartame.  I do like and use the plant based sweeteners, like stevia, monkfruit, and erythritol.  I do use these regularly in my baking and have been fairly pleased with the results.  But not all the low carb sweeteners are equal in their taste, health impact, cost, etc.

I recently had the opportunity to try some of the Besti Sweeteners from Wholesome Yum and I was very impressed.  Although I have followed Wholesome Yum for some time, because I really like her recipes, I had not tried her new line of low carb sweeteners.

Best sells premium, non-GMO pure allulose, erythritol, or  their signature monk fruit blends. (Monk fruit allulose blend is the #1 best seller!)  They also sell almond flour and coconut flour, essential items for grain free baking.

These delicious sugar alternatives have zero calories, zero net carbs, and zero glycemic index. Available in granulated/crystallized for baking, brown to replace brown sugar, and powdered for frostings, sauces, and sprinkling. You can also find sugar-free liquid sweeteners.

I was most impressed with the brown sugar blend of monkfruit sweetener with allulose.  I found it had the texture of regular brown sugar and the taste as well, so it is a great 1 to 1 substitute to remove carbs and sugars and keep insulin and blood sugar levels low.  I also really like the taste of the monkfruit and allulose sweetener combo’s.  I made a recipe for a monkey bread that used all 3 of the basic sweeteners, crystallized, granulated, and powdered sugars, and the extended family group I served it to all were very complimentary and quite shocked when I told them these were low carb sugars.  So they really do work in all situations.

The monkfruit is the highest grade available for monkfruit and is also GMO free, which is something I really value.

If you would like to try some of these out, I would appreciate you using my affiliate link.   And if you are part of my email list, I will let you know when there are special sales at Wholesome Yum, as she often offers 10 or 20% off Besti Sugars.
