I had the opportunity recently to review the kitchen knife set from Chef’s Foundry. I was quite impressed with the knives I received and would like to recommend them to you. I received the 8 inch Chef’s knife and along with that came the 6 inch utility Chef’s knife and the 3 inch paring knife. (My favorite knife is actually the 6 inch knife because I like that size, although some of my kids like the 8 inch knife best.)
10X SHARPER THAN STEEL These knives are all made of ceramic which is actually 10x sharper than steel. This means they keep a sharper edge and saves time in the kitchen, something I am always wanting to do and you probably do too. This was my first opportunity to use a ceramic knife and I really liked them. Ceramic is very light and easy to handle.
MORE PRECISE CUT As the P600 blade is so much sharper and harder than regular stainless steel blades, they let you make precision cuts with ease! I was able to cut frozen chicken with no problems, something that happens more often than I might wish (cutting frozen foods).
NO RUST GUARANTEE Rust can happen with steel blades but will not happen with ceramic blades. So even if you are forgetful and don’t clean your knife off right away, you don’t have to worry about rust happening. That is another good thing for busy people like me, who can be forgetful because of so many details going on.
Neat little knife cover These knives come with black matching covers that slide easily off and on over the ceramic blade. Since I don’t have room in the knife block I own, I like using the covers right now. Although I am considering replacing some of the knives in the block with these, because I like the new knives better than my stainless steel ones. (And then I would not need the covers.)
